These changes are difficult, and leave us feeling overwhelmed and stressed. It can be difficult to make decisions about the next steps to take in your life’s journey. As Certified Senior Move Managers, Adventures In Organizing has the tools and systems needed to make your move as stress-free as possible. We can meet the needs of seniors or boomers looking to downsize their homes. Adventures In Organizing can help you with your “right-size” move. Working with you, we develop plans to ensure you are taking the belongings you love, and making an action plan to decide where they will fit in your new home or lifestyle. If you plan is to "age in place", we can develop systems and procedures to keep you at home as long as possible, and keep your home safe and decluttered while doing so.
You feel stressed, overwhelmed and unsure of how you will get everything done in time. Moving is one of the most stressful times in our lives. Our aim is to make your move as stress-free and painless as possible. While we can assist at any point in your moving project, we suggest calling us before you list your home on the market. We can help you declutter prior to listing, pack, move, organize and stage your new home for relaxed living. Moving is expensive. Planning ahead will ensure you are only moving the things you love, use and enjoy. Helping you downsize, plan and facilitate the move is one of the key services that Adventures In Organizing provides. We offer organizing and packing services, and we’ll help you unpack and set up your new home in the Ottawa area.
MOVING
We can help you get caught up, declutter and assist you in developing routines and schedules to keep you moving forward.
1. Contact us to book a free 30-minute phone consultation. This call will help us gain a clear understanding of your needs, and make sure we can help you achieve your goals.
2. We visit your home for a two-hour assessment: Getting to Know You. The consultation will be followed with an assessment in your home, a needs analysis and our Vision Casting exercise. Together, we will discover:
• What your life looks like now
• What you want your life and environment to look like
• How much time and energy you waste searching for items
• How much time and energy you spend thinking about what needs to be done
The main job of an organizer is to help you determine what you no longer love, what no longer has value, and what you may be able to let go of. We will never press you to dispose of belongings that you love and cherish.
3. After the assessment, we will give you recommendations, and create a project schedule. There are three ways you can proceed:
I. We prepare a detailed plan for you, and you work on your own. We provide you with unlimited email support throughout the length of the project.
II. We custom design a program to meet your needs. You get access to a six-week, organizing course online, and telephone and email support from a professional organizer for an additional four weeks. You work on your own with the knowledge that professional support is just a phone call or email away.
III. You can choose an Organizer in the House Package: An organizer comes to your home and works with you one-on-one to complete your project and help you achieve the goals you develop during the Vision Casting exercise.
